BETWEEN COFFEE, BOOKS AND WORN WOOD

Casa Margarita

Part of the Proyectos Públicos collective, Casa Margarita occupies a 1903 mansion that was once home to Margarita Quijano, a writer and pivotal figure in Mexico City’s intellectual life. Today, the house has been revived as a space where hospitality, culture, and community naturally coexist, keeping alive the creative spirit that has inhabited its walls since the beginning.

More than a guest house, Casa Margarita is a sanctuary to linger, connect, and partake in the city’s cultural narrative. It is a place where the stay itself intertwines with heritage, conversation, art, and a curated calendar that invites you to discover Mexico City from a more intimate and meaningful perspective.

New voices, in a house that listens

Casa Margarita returns to the city’s cultural rhythm. Once again there will be readings, live music, and intimate gatherings. The house no longer waits in silence, it creates. In the heart of Roma Norte, this historic boutique hotel in CDMX will host literary programs, artist residencies, and events that blur the line between private thought and shared experience.
This place once had a voice, and now, it speaks again.
